Working Principle
Three Phase Horizontal Scroll Discharging Decanter Centrifuge has the similar working principle with the normal standardized horizontal decanter centrifuge, which is based on different densities of the solids, to realize the sedimentation and layering with the centrifugal force. The lightest liquid would be more close to the rotation axis, the heavy liquids would be close to the inner wall of the drum, and the most heavy solids would be sedimentated on the inner wall of the drum. Then both the light and heavy liquids would be discharged out by its outlets, and the solids would be pushed out by the spiral.
Some three phase centrifuge would be equipped with centrifugal pump, so one of the liquids would be discharged out by centrifugal pump, and the another one would be drained out through the liquid collecting cavity. By using the centirufgal pump, it could reduce the gasification of the liquids during the discharging, and avoid the remixing of the separated liquids inside the machine housing.
